Hi All,

I love 90% of the features of my C7, but there are two crazy problems with it which are making me seriously consider giving up on it and going back to my old nokia 1209!

#1 - It doesn't work with automated telephone services, when asked to "press one to do .... something or other" you have to go through the menu to "send dtmf" then hit a number, then press send. it then sends a very short tone which is too short for many services to recognize and the next time you need to send a tone you have to go through the whole process again.
It's madness! There must be a way to bring up the dtmf keypad and send consecutive tones, or a software fix or something.

#2 - if the phone rings in my pocket, by the time I've got it out of my pocket I have hung up on the caller 90% of the time just by brushing the screen - even when I carefully pull the phone out by the edges.
Once again this should be an easy software fix - just disable the touchscreen when a call is incoming until it is answered by pressing a button.
I have ordered a leather case with a flip open cover which may solve the problem... or maybe make it worse Wink

Seriously it makes me wonder if they did any real testing on this phone at all before they released it.

Does anyone know if fixes for these problems are available? it would be a shame to toss such an otherwise wonderfully crafted piece of technology in the bin and go back to a brick. (a brick which works beautifully with automated telephone services and incoming calls I might add)

The IVRS calls that you were referring can be made more easy. After the call gets connected, you can see a Dialler button on the right, by which u can open the number keypad to press any number based on the IVRS.

I hope we can use the DTMF for more advanced options...
