This problem happened recently. Usually, when a message arrives, the sender is shown in names like in the contacts right? Unless you haven't saved his/her number on your contacts?
But in my C7, starting a week ago, the messages' senders are only displayed in numbers, not in names. I restarted the phone, and it goes back normal again. But now it keeps showing numbers if messages come. Any solution to this? I've upgraded to the last OS, though, if you perhaps think I haven't :p
I had to ask again and again who this is, it's depleting my credits Sad

Open your Contacts and go to Settings: There chose "Contact to display" option.

I hope you would have selected both Phone Memory and Sim Memory.

If a number is saved both to phone and Sim memory, the phone gets confused which contact name to display and hence shows only the number.

Choose one memory at a time or make sure that same number is not saved in more than one contact memory.

That should solve the prob.
